BOY, can I identify! I remember checking out a Barnes & Noble a while ago, buying yet another diet book, and telling the clerk that soon I'd be able to open my own Diet Bookstore!
Over ALL the years, I've learned that high protein, low carb works for me. But I've read ALL the books!
I also agree with the comment above about hormones. Women over 50 have that added piece to consider... I do Bio-Identicals and feel great!

thanks for the list - I'll be checking some of them out. There are 2 books I revisit again & again - one is for us women over 40 - WHEN YOUR HORMONES GO HAYWIRE by Pamela Smith. Lots of natural and practical ways to deal with raging hormones, plus a spiritual element that keeps me sane!

The other book is TURN UP THE HEAT - Unlock the Fat-Burning Power of your Metabolism by Philip Goglia. It was the first time I heard about raising metabolism by eating more often....it's a little over the top in terms of amount of water to drink and something like 7 cups of veggies every day! Need a chef! : ) But it reshaped what I choose to eat and I lost weight.
