Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm not asking for every single nutrient, I'm just asking for calories.

Just to counter your fast food comment, The thing is the restaurants are actually serving portions that are just too big.

Unless one goes to the $100/plate gourmet restaurants, The gourmet foods are usually spot on with portion sizes. However, if you go to your standard $10 to $20/plate restaurant, they all give too big of portions.

By publishing the calories on the menu, you'll be more likely to make better selections.

It would be my desire, that the restaurants will learn how to shrink their portions to more standard fare.

Finally, I've tried to find restaurants, like Big Bowl, Wildfire, Cheesecake Factory, other Steakhouse nutritional information online, and they all do not post it.

One last additional thought when it comes to options at restaurants, For example, A Steak House might be a la carte. Order a Steak with optional sides, like Shrimp, Lobster, Potato, Asparagus. I know many different graphic designers that can add the calories to the menu without creating a phone book.

We are all allowed our opinions, and I appreciate yours. Thanks for commenting.

I have to disagree. The fast food market mainly consists of combos of either beef and fries, chicken and fries, or fish and fries. Most resturants have options in food selections. Who wants to look at a menu the size of a phone book because all the nutrients were listed.
I think if a person is that interested in the nutrional value of a product they plan to eat at a resturant, they could research it online before going to dinner.
Just my thoughts.
