Information Collection & Use

Simpleweight Membership Registration

In order to access the Simpleweight tools, you must first complete the registration form, create a user name, password, and submit payment. During the registration, we ask for personal information (such as name, email address, height, weight, and goal weight). We use this information to customize the simpleweight tools, to calculate your Food In = Food Out equation, and to send you email notifications such as a welcome message.

Simpleweight Referrals.

If you choose to refer your friends to build your own personal motivation network, we will ask and save your friend's email address. We will automatically send a one-time email to your friend inviting this person to visit our site. We store this information for a minimum of 30 days. If after 30 days, they do not elect to sign up for the service, we purge the email address. We do not share or distribute this information with any third parties other than parties you request us to share with such as paypal when we provide you with referral payments.

Simpleweight.com and its owners, Ryan and Scott Stawarz, are the sole owners of the information collected. We do not share this information with anyone unless you ask us to.

How will the information be used?

We collect contact information, personal biometric, food, and exercise data. Simpleweight recognizes that this information is extremely personal. Consequently, we take precautions to help protect you and this information and do not distribute your personally identifiable information to any third parties expect when we process your referral orders.

We will send a welcome email and status emails to correspond with you via customer service requests using your personally identifiable information you provide for us. We do this in order to assist you with managing your account and services.

Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)

We may publish aggregate demographic data to our website and blog. An example, we may display a chart showing the average Food In = Food Out equation. This aggregate data will not contain any personally identifiable information.

Personally identifiable information

We only share Personally Identifiable Information when you ask us to. In addition, we try to share the minimum amount of data possible to complete your request. For example, if you were to buy a stop watch from Simpleweight, we will send your billing information to paypal or our credit card processor, and we will send your shipping information to our shipping company. Another example, is you may ask us to share your recipes with the general public via Simpleweight sharing.

We will not sell or distribute your personal information to third parties when not required to complete your order.

Does Simpleweight use Log Files?

This is information is used to analyze trends to optimize and administer our simpleweight website. We record IP addresses to help prevent abuse and spam from use of our website.

In addition to SSL, we chose not save your credit card data and use paypal as our payment processing. This helps prevents any unwanted users from gaining access from your personal financial information since we do not store the financial information.

Account Terms

Cancellations and Refunds

The service is billed in advance on an annual basis. There will be no refunds, credits, for partial months of service or for referrals after 30 days or receiving your username and password sign-up information or on the date of your cancellation. A valid payment is required from paypal for all paying accounts. All fees do not include taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxation authorities. The simpleweight user is responsible for paying independently any and all taxes that might be required.

Cancelling your service may cause the loss of your data effective immediately at the time we receive your cancellation request. You will not be eligible for receiving future referral payments nor will you receive partial refunds for any unused portion of service time. Simpleweight does not accept any liability for loss of data due to cancellation requests

Modifications to Prices and Services

Simpleweight reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify, or delete, either temporarily or permanently, portions or the entire Simpleweight Website with or without notice. Prices are subject to change with a 30 day notice. Notice may be provided by posting to the Simpleweight.com Website itself.

Simpleweight is not liable to you or any other parties due to our modifications, price changes, or deletions of the Simpleweight Service

Simpleweight reserves the right to refuse orders and or payments due to typographical errors in pricing. We are not liable for payments due to these changes at any time

The Simpleweight owners are not medical practitioners. The contents of the Simpleweight Service is not medical advice.
